Sahih Muslim — Hadith 13470

Anas b Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was presented a garment of sundus and he prohibited the use of silk. The persons admired it, whereupon he said:

حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيۡرُ بۡنُ حَرۡبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بۡنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيۡبَانُ، عَنۡ قَتَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بۡنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ أُهۡدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جُبَّةٌ مِنۡ سُنۡدُسٍ وَكَانَ يَنۡهَى عَنِ الۡحَرِيرِ فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنۡهَا فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ وَالَّذِي نَفۡسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ مَنَادِيلَ سَعۡدِ بۡنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الۡجَنَّةِ أَحۡسَنُ مِنۡ هَذَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏
